Introduction

Benign melanocytic lesions can present diagnostic challenges and posess varying levels of risk for malignancy. While the pediatric surgeon is not often on the forefront of diagnosis and surveillance of these lesions, the most challenging cases can prompt evaluation for surgical intervention.
